Voice-overs

I have more than 30 years of experience as an English voice-over artist. My work has included documentaries, commercials, museum tours, educational audio, case films, dubbing, news reading, sports commentary and art installations. Below are a selection of voice demos. For six years I was a news reader and presenter at Radio Netherlands Worldwide, and for eight years I provided the voice-overs and English commentary for Ajax TV International. Note that in the demos below, the radio news presentation is the real thing, broadcast live, but the Ajax clip isn’t real commentary, it’s pure voice acting!

My voice is light but authoritative, with a neutral British accent. Having trained and worked as an actor, I’m highly versatile. I’m quick to grasp what’s needed and to respond to direction. With experience of acting, live radio, and recording under time pressure, I can generally nail the most complex, quirky or rapid-fire scripts in one take – though I’m happy to do as many as needed to get a recording exactly right.
